ALLY - Circles of Franklin County
Service Overview: Support Circles of Franklin County is a local project of 12+ community partners that empowers families and engages community members to help families move out of poverty into a healthy new futures. Become an ALLY. Join a support team of someone working to overcome their poverty situation. Provide encouragement, ideas, connections and more. An ALLY spends about 4 to 5 hours a month, partnered with other allies, to form a Support Circle. Once a month the group meets for a Circles Meeting. Allies then give another 2 or 3 hours each month to build a friendship. Watch a brief video on the ALLY role.

Disaster Action Team Member - American Red Cross
Service Overview: seeking compassionate individuals to assist the Red Cross in fulfilling our mission by alleviating human suffering caused by disasters. Disaster Action Team Members respond to local disasters, providing emergency needs such as food, clothing and shelter.

Sewing - SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice
Service Overview: seeking experienced sewers to sew memory bears or pillows for bereaved hospice families. A memory bear or pillow is made using a favorite item of a client's loved one (such as a shirt, robe, apron, or blanket). These special bears and pillows help provide comfort at a difficult time of loss and help preserve the memory of a love one.

Teach Life Skills - Franklin County Homeless Shelter
Service Overview: two Tuesdays a month (6:00 pm - 7:00 pm), a team hosts a session to help shelter residents deal more effectively with roadblocks in their lives. Team members need not be experts or teachers. They do need to be willing to engage and share with 8 to 10 residents about topics such as Credit Counseling, Nutrition, Anger Management, Co-dependency, Job Interviewing, Effective Parenting, Stress Management.
