August 2017 Employee of the Month

The Franklin County Commissioners on behalf of the STAR Committee (Special Thanks And Recognition) proudly present the Employee of the Month award to Ms. Tabitha Souders. Tabitha Souders has been employed with Franklin County Jail Administration as a Prison Records Specialist since July of 2015. The selection for the August 2017 Employee of the Month was determined by the STAR Committee based on the numerous votes Tabitha received. There were a total of 20 nominations. The STAR nomination form asks what recent event or occurrence made you select Tabitha and the answer is extremely noteworthy: “We had an inmate with mental health issues who “maxed” their case in Franklin County and was to be released to the street. Tabitha pulled a warrant search and found that he was reported as a missing person and that his family was looking for him. She got in contact with the family and aided the jail staff in releasing him in the most effective way back into the community.” Ms. Souders’ outstanding characteristics are attributes that have not gone unnoticed by her peers. The nomination form described her as: thorough - going above and beyond in her daily job duties; supportive - with the transition of new employees in the office, Tabitha has helped them adjust to their positions and helped cover those areas while the transitions were taking place; and as an effective communicator. We are grateful to Ms. Souders as she exudes a high standard of customer service, excellence and respect to the employee and residents of Franklin County.
