November 2017 Employee of the Month

The Franklin County Commissioners on behalf of the STAR Committee (Special Thanks And Recognition) proudly present the Employee of the Month award to Ms. Rebekah Laws.   Rebekah (Bekah) Laws works in the Franklin County Information Services Department as a full time Application Support Specialist. She has been employed with the County since June of 2006. The selection for the November 2017 Employee of the Month was determined by the STAR Committee based on the numerous votes Rebekah received. There were a total of 18 people nominated.   The STAR nomination form asks what recent event or occurrence made you select Rebekah and the answers include: Bekah is a Franklin County Employee  who not only reaches her goals, she exceeds them; (She) does so many things for so many people and excels at every single task she is given; (Her) expectations for herself are very high and she consistently performs at that same degree, daily; (She) put together all the marketing campaign for the County’s new Mission, Visions, and Values program, assists with the registrations and  marketing of various events, and the list goes on and on; (She) makes everything she does look easy and seem flawless; Bekah is always positive, professional and easy to work with and by far, deserves Employee of the Month!   Ms. Laws’ outstanding characteristics are attributes that have not gone unnoticed by her peers. The nomination form described her as positive, cheerful and friendly. Bekah is quite resourceful and dependable. Ms. Laws also displays a “take the bull by the horns” approach and is motivated and hardworking, which serves her well as an Application Support Specialist.   We are grateful to Ms. Rebekah Laws as she exudes a high standard of customer service, excellence and respect to the employee and residents of Franklin County.
