Requirements include:

High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills required. Must have basic training in Emergency Management or Emergency Services. Completion of a course in adult educational methodology equivalent to NFPA Instructor I and Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP) 24-hour course preferred. Minimum of one (1) year experience in the development, coordination, or promotion of emergency related programs in emergency services, emergency management, or public safety. Minimum one (1) year of management experience. Must obtain a state certification from PEMA for Emergency Management Staff within one (1) year from date of hire. Must obtain an Operations level of Hazardous Material within two (2) years from date of hire. Must be trained in Consequence Management and Incident Command within one (1) year of hire. Must possess a working knowledge of Weapons of Mass Destruction, Terrorism, and Emergency Management or related emergency services field.
