Deidre Ritz, Director Of Fulton County Domestic Relations, Set To Retire After 43 Years Of Service; Successor Named

McConnellsburg, PA – The Honorable President Judge Shawn D. Meyers, and The Board of Judges for the 39th Judicial District, wish to recognize Deidre Ritz, director of Fulton County Domestic Relations, for her 43 years of service and for her unsurpassed dedication that she has provided to the office, county government, her co-workers, the citizens of Fulton County, and the 39th Judicial District. The Court wishes Ritz only the best in her future endeavors as she prepares for her upcoming retirement, effective Dece. 31.

In reflecting over Ritz's nearly half century of service, Meyers commented that "Deidi's successor will have big shoes to fill. I know that Deidi has provided honorable and diligent service to the court and the citizens of Fulton County over her lengthy career in local government service.” 

With this retirement brings a new chapter for Fulton County, but a familiar one for many. With this said, Meyers and the Board of Judges are pleased to announce that Tina Gress, a 21-year veteran of the Fulton County Domestic Relations Office, has been recommended and subsequently approved by a Fulton County Salary Board action held on Nov. 29 as interim director, effective immediately. This interim title will afford Gress an opportunity to shadow Ritz through Dec. 31 while still maintaining her full responsibilities entrusted to her as a domestic relations conference officer through the balance of 2022. 

Beginning in calendar year 2023, Gress will take the helm as director for Fulton County Domestic Relations. Over Gress' two decades of service to Fulton County Domestic Relations, she has performed duties in all positions of the office and is eager and delighted to embark on this new journey. Gress is a life-long resident of Fulton County, has raised her family in Fulton County, and is actively involved in community organizations throughout Fulton County.  

The Domestic Relations Office is responsible for all matters involving the support of children and/or spouses. Establishment of paternity, location of absent parents, establishment of child support, spouse support, APL, and enforcement of support domestic relations are examples of services provided for families; including enforcement of financial and non-financial orders.
