Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with Education in Emergency Management preferred, or equivalent combination of training and experience. Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience developing and implementing plans. Must obtain Operation Level of Hazardous Materials and CPR certifications within 1 year of date of hire. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
Duties
The Planning Coordinator reviews, maintains, develops, coordinates, writes, and formats the County’s All Hazard Plans, to include but not limited to County Emergency Operations, Continuity of Operations, High Hazard Dam, Hazard Mitigation, County Hazard Vulnerability Assessment, and Departmental Strategic Plans. Additionally this position provides direct management and support for Local Municipal Coordinators to include trainings, regularly scheduled meetings, and educational presentations.
