Are you a motivated, service-driven individual? If so, we need to talk. We are looking for someone who would be responsible for all County computer security, network planning, administration, operations and help desk activities. This individual will perform a variety of complex professional and technical duties related to the installation and maintenance of the County computer network and communications hardware and software systems including but not limited to switches, routers, hubs, wireless access points, microwave point-to-point wireless systems, cabling and wiring, VPN, telecommunication devices both wired and wireless, network management and monitoring software, firewalls, Internet connections, LAN/WAN/MAN, fiber optics, Active Directory, and the help desk ticketing system.
This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions. Participation on projects is focused on ensuring proper network capacity is available and that solutions are secure and adhere to policy so as to ensure the integrity and security of sensitive information such as HIPAA and criminal justice protected (CJI) information.

Requirements
Bachelor (4-year) degree, or similar certification, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science and/or four to six years network administration experience. Four to Six years’ experience as a Network Administrator. Any combination of related education and training and/or experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities.
