Notice Of Public Hearing On Proposed Changes To Franklin County Block Grant Projects

CHAMBERSBURG, PA (Sept. 17, 2021) – The Franklin County Commissioners invite residents to offer feedback and comments on proposed modifications to Franklin County’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs for fiscal years 2016 and 2017. A public hearing will be held immediately following the commissioners’ 11 a.m. meeting on Sept. 22 in the Franklin County Administration Building board room at 272 N. Second St., Chambersburg.
The proposed changes involve the adjustment of CDBG funds allocated to projects included in FY2016 and FY2017 contracts. The Franklin County Planning Department is recommending that these funds be reallocated for better utilization and to meet grant requirements. Specific details on these proposed modifications can be found by visiting franklincountypa.gov.
All interested residents are encouraged to attend the Sept. 22 public hearing and will be afforded the opportunity to present oral testimony and/or present written comments concerning these modifications. Written comments may be submitted to the Franklin County Planning Department at 272 N. Second St., Chambersburg, PA 17210 or by email, planning@franklincountypa.gov. All written comments must be received by Sept. 29.
