Supporting local efforts to prevent substance misuse through community-driven initiatives.

The Franklin/Fulton Drug and Alcohol Program is pleased to announce the availability of Prevention Mini-Grants for calendar year 2026. Funded through opioid settlement dollars, these grants — up to $2,000 — are designed to support pro-social substance use/misuse prevention events that align with the goals of Exhibit E (Opioid Remediation Uses).

Eligible applicants include organizations committed to engaging individuals in activities that promote healthy coping skills, provide education on opioid and other substance misuse, and implement evidence-based prevention strategies.  Local schools, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, and other community groups are encouraged to apply.

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals to provide education and a train the trainer program for educators, law enforcement officers, 911 telecommunicators and other first responders on de-escalation and crisis response strategies when dealing with mental health issues/calls and equipping of trainers to deliver effective trauma-informed de-escalation training to police officers, first responders and other community stakeholders.
