Franklin County Plans Public Meeting On Broadband Internet Services

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Commissioners invite business stakeholders and residents interested in enhancing broadband internet services to attend a public meeting at 2 p.m. July 25 at the Franklin County Administration Building, 272 N. Second St., Chambersburg. A virtual option will also be available for individuals unable to attend the meeting in person by emailing surveyhelp@franklincountypa.gov.

 

Proposed Fiber Project MapThose in attendance will have the opportunity to review and offer feedback on a proposed map that details the broadband expansion routes in Franklin County. Feedback will also be solicited through a public survey following the meeting.

 

The July 25 meeting is part of the Broadband Community Assessment, a joint effort by Franklin and Adams counties to assess current internet service needs and the necessary technological solutions that would provide acceptable levels of service in the future. Funding for the study comes from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
