Franklin County Commissioners Bringing Board Meeting To Quincy Township
Commissioners
April 21, 2025
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Commissioners are pleased to announce the board’s May 21 public meeting will be held at the Quincy Township Municipal Building.
The May 21 meeting will be the commissioners’ second quarterly “on the road” public board meeting in 2025. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the township office located at 7575 Mentzer Gap Road, Waynesboro.
Commissioners’ public board meetings are normally held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at the Franklin County Administration Building in Chambersburg. In 2024, the commissioners announced plans to host an evening meeting on the third Wednesday of each month with one quarterly meeting to be held at an off-site location. The goal in doing so was to offer residents a greater opportunity for public engagement and to make meetings more accessible and convenient for residents who live outside of Chambersburg. Following the success of this change in 2024, the commissioners have continued this schedule in 2025.
The schedule and location for evening meetings is as follows:
- May 21: Quincy Township Municipal Building;
- June 18: Franklin County Administration Building;
- July 16: Franklin County Administration Building;
- Aug. 21: location to be determined;
- Sept. 17: Franklin County Administration Building;
- Oct. 15: Franklin County Administration Building; and
- Nov. 19: location to be determined
The August evening meeting will be held on a Thursday due to a scheduling conflict. Also of note: there will not be an evening meeting in December. Additional information on off-site meeting locations will be announced later as details are finalized.
