Better Service Focus Of New County Website

Franklin County launched a new version of its website, franklincountypa.gov, in late December.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Commissioners are ringing in the new year with a new version of the county’s website, www.franklincountypa.gov.

Franklin County’s new website features a fresh, modern design and offers users improved functionality and an intuitive layout. The site is also mobile responsive, making county services and information more accessible for those using smart phones and other mobile devices.

“Our website is our greatest resource for connecting with the public and providing important news and information on the services and programs we provide,” said Franklin County Commissioner Chairman Dean Horst. “It was crucial that we invest in a website that is easy to navigate and provides users with the information they’re seeking with just a few simple clicks.”

Horst added, “We kept our residents – our customers – in mind at every step of the development process to ensure our new site is the best possible product and provides improved service and a better overall user experience.”

Franklin County contracted with Planeteria Media of Santa Rosa, California, to update the website. The county also held a countywide photo contest, and many of those images are incorporated into the new site.

The new site replaces the county’s previous website which launched in 2015.
