Franklin County is pleased to announce Christy Unger as the new Franklin/Fulton Drug & Alcohol Administrator and Single County Authority (SCA) effective June 11, 2020.

Christy comes to the County with experience in substance use prevention and intervention, program planning and implementation, and nonprofit management. She previously worked as Director of Programming for Healthy Communities Partnership where, for the past 11 years, she implemented and supervised youth development programs as well as substance use prevention and intervention services throughout Franklin County. She has served as a member of the Criminal Justice Advisory Board (CJAB), the statewide Pennsylvania Youth Survey Advisory Board, and has been a member of the Board of Directors for NETwork Ministries since 2013.

Christy has a passion for supporting her community through data-driven decision making, needs assessment and planning, grant writing, and program management. In her new role, she intends to increase collaboration and continually improve program and service delivery.

“I’m excited to strengthen partnerships across human services, our local healthcare system, and the courts,” said Christy. “I’m thrilled to continue serving my community by helping to plan and deliver high quality programs—both for prevention and to assist those impacted by substance use disorders in our counties.”

In her free time, Christy enjoys camping and exploring the beautiful central PA outdoors with her husband, son, daughter, and their two rescue dogs.
