Overview
Franklin County’s domestic relations department is responsible for all matters involving the support of spouses and/or children.
Franklin County Domestic Relations is the agency in Franklin County responsible for the administration of child/spouse support enforcement programs. Those programs consist of the following: case initiation, paternity determination, location of absent parents, establishment and modification of support orders, and enforcement of financial and non-financial orders. Scheduled conferences, to establish and enforce a support order, will primarily be handled telephonically. If you or the other party are represented by an attorney, the support conference will be scheduled through Google Meet by telephone or video, as determined by Franklin County Domestic Relations. Please read your paperwork carefully to see if you need to appear by phone, video or in person.
Support appeals scheduled before the Franklin County Support Hearing Officer will be held in person. If you are unable to attend in person, you must seek court approval to participate at the appeal hearing via Google Meet video.
Payments may be made in person at Domestic Relations. However, other methods of payment are still available and are preferred. Contact Domestic Relations for information on alternate methods for making support payments.

All payments are processed daily, Monday through Friday, by SCDU.
There is a $25 fee for non-welfare cases. The fee is deducted from the IRS collection made on your behalf before the monies are distributed to you.
JCF: $40.25
Genetic Testing: $22.00 per person in Franklin County
The cost varies if the individual resides out of state, out of county, or if the individual is incarcerated.
There is a $35 annual federal fee paid by the custodial parent upon receiving $2,000 from October 1 through September 30 (federal fiscal year).
