Drug and Alcohol Program

Overview

Franklin/Fulton Drug and Alcohol oversees and/or carries out the administration, implementation and completion of drug and alcohol services within Franklin and Fulton counties, including prevention, intervention, treatment, recovery and case management.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Franklin/Fulton Drug and Alcohol program is to ensure that a comprehensive range of locally based, high-quality and effective substance use prevention, intervention, treatment, recovery and case management services are available and accessible to eligible residents of Franklin and Fulton counties.

Franklin/Fulton Drug and Alcohol (FFDA), often referred to as the Single County Authority or SCA, has contracted with the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol to oversee and/or carry out the administration, implementation and completion of drug and alcohol services within Franklin and Fulton counties.

FFDA has three subdivisions:

  • Prevention
  • Intervention
  • Case Management

Overdose Prevention

Free Naloxone is available by calling Franklin/Fulton Drug and Alcohol at 717-263-1256. Narcan is also available on local college campuses; ask your resident assistant for details or visit a campus wellness center.

Contact Franklin/Fulton Drug and Alcohol for a free medication lock box or Deterra Drug Deactivation System.

Local Medication Disposal Sites

Safely dispose of unused or expired medications at one of our convenient disposal locations throughout Franklin County.

Operation Save A Life

Are you concerned that a loved one is at risk for an opioid overdose? Consider attending an Operation Save a Life training.

During this training, you will learn how to recognize, respond to and prevent an opioid overdose. You will also learn how to administer intra-nasal naloxone to reverse an overdose. After completing the training, you will receive a certificate of completion along with the knowledge of how to intervene in the event of an overdose.
