What We Do

The Office of Veterans Affairs is a local county office, accredited with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Veterans Affairs staff performs a number of key functions, including:

Information on federal, state and county benefits and resources
Submission and appeals of benefit claims
Veteran temporary assistance
Health care information and enrollment assistance
Outreach programs such as community events, peer services and a service dog program
Information and support for justice-involved veterans

Veterans wishing to check a claim status can call the VA directly at 800-827-1000.
