Volunteer
A variety of opportunities are available to persons willing to give of their time. Volunteers are needed to deliver meals, make visits to individuals in the community and at facilities, assist at senior activity centers with the art and craft classes, and counsel Medicare beneficiaries.
You could volunteer one of the following programs:
Ombudsman Program
Ombudsmen are community neighbors who are specially trained to answer and resolve the problems that people experience in the long term care system.
Volunteer Ombudsmen complement the Pennsylvania Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program through their local Agency on Aging.

Home Delivered Meals Program
Home Delivered Meal Volunteers deliver meals to individuals who are not able to prepare a meal or attend a senior center.
PA MEDI Program
Counsel individuals who have problems and questions about Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicaid, Medical Savings Programs and Prescription Drug Coverage.
