Services (Jail)
Inmates will be offered a variety of treatment services that are designed to eliminate recidivism, instill personal responsibility, meet medical and mental needs, and develop skills and attitudes that will enable inmates to successfully reengage into their communities upon release. Services will assist the inmate to find the best way to be responsible for his or her actions and to be more cognizant of the consequences for inappropriate behavior in the future. Treatment Services include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- General treatment programs are offered in group or individual settings and include topics such as Stress and Anger Management, Victim Impact Awareness, Parenting Skills, Moral Reconation Therapy, Job Skills, Life Skills and Drug and Alcohol Education.
- Educational programs include GED preparation classes and GED testing, high school education classes, and English as a second language classes.
- Religious services are offered on both an individual or group basis and are facilitated by the Jail Chaplain and religious volunteers.
- Medical and dental services are provided to every inmate and include screenings, physicals, treatment plans, medical diets and medication.
- Mental health services are provided through screenings, medication, individual counseling and treatment groups.
- The Jail to Community Treatment program addresses substance abuse needs through assessments, counseling and medication-assisted therapy.
- Work programs include assignment of inhouse work details and community employment to eligible inmates.
