Volunteer Opportunities
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities with the Franklin County Area Agency on Aging for those who are willing to give of their time. Volunteers are needed to deliver meals, make visits to individuals in the community and at facilities, assist at senior activity centers with arts and crafts classes, and counsel Medicare beneficiaries.
Below is a list of just some of the volunteer opportunities available with the Franklin County Area Agency on Aging.
Ombudsman Program
Ombudsmen are commonly neighbors who are specially trained to answer and resolve the problems that people experience in the long-term care system. Volunteer Ombudsmen complement the Pennsylvania Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program through their local Agency on Aging.
