Franklin County is a great place to visit for many different reasons!

There are plentiful opportunities for recreation at one of our state parks, hunting in state game lands, fishing in a cool limestone creek, or hiking one of many different trails including the famed Appalachian Trail.

For history buffs, there are over 60 registered historic locations to visit. Franklin County has been home to many significant historical events and played a role in the both the American Revolution and the Civil War.
