IFB 2024232-01 Secure Shower Doors for the Franklin County Jail

INVITATION FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Franklin County Controller’s Office, Franklin County Administration Building, 272 North Second Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201 for the Secure Door Replacements for the Franklin County Jail until 4:00 PM prevailing time on Tuesday July 30, 2024. All bids so received will be publicly opened and read on Wednesday July 31, 2024 at 10:00 AM prevailing time at the Franklin County Commissioners’ Office, 272 North Second Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201

Specifications, instructions and bid forms will be furnished by the Franklin County Procurement Office upon request at 272 North Second Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201, or by calling (717) 261-3890.

Bid security in an amount no less than 10% of the amount of the bid will be required in the form of a satisfactory bid bond issued by a corporate surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania made payable to or naming as obligee Franklin County.

Any contract awarded under this Invitation for Bid is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Determination and Anti-Kickback Regulations issued by the Secretary of Labor to be included in contract documents.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid conference for prospective bidders will be held at the Franklin County Jail at 1804 Opportunity Avenue Chambersburg, PA 17201 on Thursday June 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM.

The Franklin County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all defects, errors, omissions, irregularities or informalities in any bid.

Awards shall be made only to responsible bidders that possess the potential to perform successfully under the terms and conditions of this procurement. Consideration shall be given to such matters as bidder integrity, compliance with public policy, record of past performance and financial and technical resources when determining responsibility.
