Services/Program Description

The Franklin County Coroner’s Office serves the residents of Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Our office investigates sudden unexpected deaths and deaths as required by law. We provide service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a dedicated team of investigators, transporters and support personnel. The Coroner's Office staff prides itself in showing compassion to families in their time of struggle with the utmost professionalism and integrity.

Regulation and Oversight

The Coroner is elected every four (4) years by the voters and is directly responsible to the electorate.  This position must be State Certified by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General Coroners Education Board.
