MISSION STATEMENT Our office is dedicated to serving the needs of area veterans and their families through benefit coordination, outreach, and advocacy.
About
The Office of Veterans Affairs is a local county office, accredited with Department of Military and Veterans Affairs through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our office performs a number of key functions:
- Information on federal, state, and county benefits and resources
- Benefit Claims: submission and appeals
- Veteran Temporary Assistance
- Healthcare information and enrollment assistance
- Outreach programs (community events, peer services, and service dog program)
- Information and support for justice-involved veterans

Note: The Martinsburg VAMC offers a transportation van for scheduled appointments. Please contact the “Transportation Office” at Martinsburg VAMC for details and to schedule a ride. The veteran must be ambulatory to ride the transportation van.
There are currently no transportation services available from Franklin County to the VA Outpatient Clinic, Hagerstown, MD or the Vet Center
