Lease Named Franklin County’s February Employee Of The Month

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Commissioners proudly presented the February 2024 Employee of the Month award to Beckie Lease during the board’s Feb. 28 public meeting. Lease has been employed by Franklin County since March 2022 and serves as a food service worker at the Franklin County Area Agency on Aging’s senior activity centers.

February’s Employee of the Month recipient was determined by the Special Thanks and Recognition (STAR) Committee, which received five nominations for the February award, one of which was for Lease.

“Beckie was able to assist and handle…an unexpected cancellation of lunch at the Greencastle Senior Activity Center,” said the nomination form. “The delivery drivers were unable to make it due to inclement weather. When an individual with a developmental disability became visibly upset, Beckie encouraged her to use coping skills, and sang and danced with her to cheer her mood. Beckie is an amazing asset to her center and the participants that attend there.”

Lease’s outstanding characteristics are attributes that have not gone unnoticed by her peers. She is described as prompt, efficient, organized, receptive and a team player.

The Franklin County Commissioners congratulated Lease on her recognition and thanked her for her excellent work and for exuding such a high standard of knowledge, leadership and excellence to the employees and residents of Franklin County.
