Hoff Named Franklin County Grants Director

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Commissioners are pleased to announce that Melodie Hoff has been named director of the county’s grants management department.

 

Melodie HoffIn this role, Hoff will oversee the county’s grants management department, which partners with other county departments and eligible nonprofits in researching, screening, developing, applying for and managing grants. Hoff replaces Glenda Helman, who retired from the position earlier this year.

 

Hoff has more than 30 years of experience in a variety of administrative, marketing and communications positions, including 13 years as a marketing administrator for Simon Property Group in Santa Rosa, California, and six years as a development financial/advancement database coordinator with Lebanon Valley College in Annville. Hoff joined Wilson College in 2016 where she held a variety of roles, including assistant registrar and assistant to the vice president of academic affairs/dean of faculty. In February, she joined Franklin County’s grants management department as its grants and criminal justice advisory board coordinator.

 

“We are excited that Melodie has accepted the role of Franklin County grants director,” said Franklin County Commissioner Chairman Dean Horst. “In the short time she has been with the county, Melodie has already proven herself to be an asset and we’re looking forward to what she will do in her new position.”

 

Hoff is a native of Lebanon County. She earned a bachelor’s in communications from Alvernia University in 1991 and a master’s in business administration from Lebanon Valley College in 2014. She and her husband, John, have called Chambersburg home since 2015.
