Franklin County DA Ian Brink Extends Condolences To Family Of Greencastle Police Chief Russell

Less than a month ago, I was honored to be in attendance as Keith Russell was sworn in as the chief of police for the Greencastle Police Department. I, along with the entire law enforcement community, was devastated to learn of Chief Russell's passing this past weekend.

I had the opportunity to get to know Keith both personally and professionally over the last 18 years. Keith was always kind and gracious to everyone he would meet. Keith was always focused on his family and keeping the Greencastle community that he loved safe. It was always a pleasure to talk and work with Keith on a case and I will miss that.

On behalf of my family and the Franklin County District Attorney's office, I extend our deepest condolences to Keith's family and friends, his Greencastle Police family, and the Greencastle community.
