Franklin County District Attorney, Domestic Relations, Probation Offices To Have New Homes

Franklin County Courthouse Annex

Built in 1979, the Franklin County Courthouse Annex will now be home to the Franklin County District Attorney's Office, Domestic Relations, and Adult and Juvenile Probation departments.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Starting today, several Franklin County offices will begin the process of relocating to their new spaces at the recently refurbished Courthouse Annex at 157 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg.

Over the coming weeks, the Franklin County District Attorney’s Office, Domestic Relations, Adult Probation and Juvenile Probation will move from their current locations to the Courthouse Annex.

All offices will remain open to public business at their current locations during this transition. Offices will begin serving the public at the Courthouse Annex once the majority of staff members are in their new location. Those who have business with any of these departments should call ahead to verify the specific location of that office when they need to visit.

Built in 1979, the Courthouse Annex is one of the final components of the county’s multi-year court facilities improvement project. Through this expansion project, most county court-related offices have now been co-located into one downtown campus, improving efficiency, increasing accessibility and reducing long-term expenses by consolidating operations. More importantly, the project addressed long-standing safety concerns that threatened the court’s ability to effectively administer justice.

The Franklin County Commissioners thank the public for their patience during this transition and look forward to continued service of Franklin County residents.
