Franklin County Seeks Members For Aging Advisory Council
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Area Agency on Aging is seeking volunteers to serve on its advisory council.
The Advisory Council of the Franklin County Area Agency on Aging supports the aging department by making recommendations concerning department activities, reviewing, evaluating and recommending program changes, and acting as an advocate on proposed legislation that address issues of concern to older adults. The council consists of 15 non-paid, volunteer members. At least half of those members must be 60 years of age or older, and all members must be residents of Franklin County.
Those interested in applying for the advisory council must have an overall interest in Franklin County’s senior population, be computer literate and must attend each of the advisory council’s quarterly meetings. These one-hour meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of January, April, July and October at 9 a.m. at the Franklin County Area Agency on Aging Office at 600 Norland Ave., Chambersburg.
