New Hours for Senior Activity Centers of Franklin County
In response to the needs of participants, Senior Activity Centers of Franklin County, including Chambersburg, Waynesboro, Greencastle, Mont Alto, Tuscarora and Fort Loudon will be open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, effective March 18th.
In response to the needs of participants, Senior Activity Centers of Franklin County, including Chambersburg, Waynesboro, Greencastle, Mont Alto, Tuscarora and Fort Loudon will be open from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, effective March 18th [this is a change from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm].
Recent studies showed that the overwhelming majority of participants use the centers during the morning hours unless there is a specific afternoon special event. Several centers consistently had participants waiting at the door prior to the center opening.
“We strive to be responsive to the needs of our participants and feel that this small change in our hours of operation will benefit them in a big way,” said Traci Kline, Director of the Franklin County Area Agency on Aging.
This change will have no effect on the congregate or home delivered meal programs.
