County Holds Annual Reorganization Meeting
Each year, Franklin County holds a Reorganization meeting to appoint individuals to Commissioner, County, and community board positions, as well as to approve County policies and pay schedules.
Each year, Franklin County holds a Reorganization meeting to appoint individuals to Commissioner, County, and community board positions, as well as to approve County policies and pay schedules.
Highlights from the 2020 Reorganization meeting held Monday morning are as follows:
∙ 2.5% salary increase approved for county departments and the offices of elected officials
∙ 2020 holiday schedule and 8:30am – 4:30pm hours of operation approved
∙ Commissioner David S. Keller appointed Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Commissioner John T. Flannery appointed Vice Chairman, and Commissioner Robert G. Ziobrowski appointed Secretary
∙ Board meeting times approved for Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30am with four evening meetings per year to be held in municipalities other than Chambersburg
Appointments of Commissioners to Boards
Commissioner Keller is appointed member to the following: Franklin County Soil Conservation District Board, Library Board, Drug & Alcohol Advisory Board, and the Criminal Justice Advisory Board.
Commissioner Flannery is appointed member to the following: Children & Youth Advisory Board, Franklin County Penn State University Cooperative Extension Board, Hagerstown Eastern Region Metropolitan Planning Organization, and Franklin County Visitors Bureau.
Commissioner Ziobrowski is appointed member to the following: Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities Advisory Board, Council of Governments, Local Elected Official of the South Central Workforce Investment Board, Penn State Mont Alto Campus Advisory Board, and Franklin County Blighted Property Review Committee.
All three commissioners will sit on the Local Emergency Planning Committee, Tuscarora Managed Care Alliance, and the Franklin County Metropolitan Planning Organization.
