Jimm Runshaw is the Employee of the Month for April 2020

The Franklin County Commissioners proudly present April’s Employee of the Month award to Mr. James (Jimm) Runshaw.

Mr. Runshaw has been employed with Franklin County since March of 2006.  He currently serves as an Application Support Specialist with the Information Services Department. The selection for the April 2020 Employee of the Month was determined by the STAR Committee. There were a total of fourteen nominations which included the following reasons for recommendation:

“Jimm was asked to redesign the license to buy/sell application that is frequently used in our office. He was instrumental in imputing information in a concise, professional manner and appearance to completely revamp the process. In doing so, we now have a better tool for issuance of said permits.”

Another nomination form states, “It is impossible to nominate Jimm for just one event/occurrence. He is the type of person that must be nominated for his wonderful work ethic, which he continues to display throughout the years! When the office has any issues, he is always a welcome sight. We know from experience that Jimm has the knowledge and know-how to show up, review the problem and fix it! Over the years we have had many so called events/occurrences that Jimm has been able to remedy.”

In yet another instance, “Jimm is committed to finding solutions to any and all issues that arise. He is charming, funny and pleasant to work with. He is optimistic and full of ideas and solutions. We look forward to seeing Jimm each and every time he comes in.”

“James Runshaw remains focused on the issue and tenacity in exhausting every avenue to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. He is also a very personable worker. He can make everyone feel that he genuinely cares about whatever problems they may be having. You know that he will find a solution.”

Mr. Runshaw’s outstanding characteristics are attributes that have not gone unnoticed by his peers. The nomination form describes him as thorough, diligent, attentive and respectful.

We are grateful to Mr. James Runshaw as he exudes a high standard of customer service, excellence, and respect to the employees and residents of Franklin County.
