Sharon Beaver is the Employee of the Month for June 2020

The Franklin County Commissioners proudly present June’s Employee of the Month award to Ms. Sharon Beaver.

Ms. Beaver has been employed with Franklin County since January of 2018 as the Director of Custodial Services. The selection for the June 2020 Employee of the Month was determined by the STAR Committee. There were a total of sixteen nominations which include the following reasons for recommendation:

“Sharon’s actions and support, in conjunction with her staff, from the onset of COVID -19 virus throughout the duration of the spread, has aided in flattening of the curve, while maintaining continuing support to all County facilities and employees. Sharon and staff: Tammy Stitely, Bethany Neuder, Rachel Fischer, Linda Cook, Heather Fleming, Dawn Erdenbrack, have provided unwavering services, meeting and exceeding the Center for Disease Control (CDC) requirements on every facility front without exception or loss in services.

Ms. Beaver has shown a willingness to serve under risky conditions and maintain services, with dedication and fortitude, while managing to keep herself and her staff free of viral contamination while in the mix of unsure/unknown situations. Sharon’s participation for multi-level support of procuring personal protective equipment (PPE) materials and anti-viral cleaning chemicals during shortages; advocating and communicating a “no panic” attitude; maintaining perspective, while suppressing rumors; and encouraging a “no drama” attitude throughout her department during and continuing throughout the COVID event are commendable.”

Ms. Beaver’s outstanding characteristics are attributes that have not gone unnoticed by her peers. The nomination form describes her as having fortitude and dedication, while maintaining perspective during critical situations.

We are grateful to Ms. Sharon Beaver as she exudes a high standard of customer service, excellence, and respect to the employees and residents of Franklin County.
