Tracy Radtke is the Employee of the Month for August 2020

The Franklin County Commissioners proudly present August’s Employee of the Month award to Ms. Tracy Radtke.

Ms. Radtke has been employed with Franklin County since July of 2014. She is currently a Mental Health Program Specialist I with the MH/IDD/EI Human Services Division. The selection for the August 2020 Employee of the Month was determined by the STAR Committee. There were a total of sixteen nominations which included the following reasons for recommendation:

“Due to the COVID crisis, the CARE program’s Forensic Case Manager was furloughed from mid-April through mid-June. Tracy Radtke split the CARE case management duties with the CARE supervisor. The CARE program had an average of 28 participants during the 8 weeks Tracy filled in. There were 15 intakes during this period of time and just as many discharges. Each intake requires communication to set up therapy and psychiatric appointments. Each participant calls in weekly to report on their status and bring up any issues or concerns. Since Tracy had the CARE cell phone she managed those weekly calls. Case notes are kept on each client that document each email, phone call, and appointment. There is a biweekly treatment team meeting that includes notes for each client. It is a tremendous amount of work to keep track of each client and make sure everyone is doing what they need to do. Tracy had all of these responsibilities in addition to her regular job duties managing county housing programs. She was competent in doing this work and seamlessly transitioned clients to working with her. There was no lag time in services during this very stressful time. Tracy and the CARE supervisor worked closely together to make sure that everyone had their needs met. Tracy kept her sense of humor even though at times it seemed like an overwhelming amount of work to be done. In the end, everyone was in services and doing well when the Forensic Case Manager returned to his duties.”

Ms. Radtke’s outstanding characteristics are attributes that have not gone unnoticed by her peers. The nomination form describes her as having the ability to work under pressure and being able to adapt in order to complete required tasks, while maintaining a positive attitude under stress.

We are grateful to Ms. Tracy Radtke as she exudes a high standard of customer service, excellence, and respect to the employees and residents of Franklin County.
