2021 Franklin County Nursing Scholarships
Recognizing the extraordinary demand for skilled nurses in Franklin County, the Franklin County Commissioners recently honored six area high school graduates with a one-time $2,500 scholarship in order to pursue their career in nursing.
This is the fifth year of providing scholarships to area high school graduates. Since 2017, 30 $2,500.00 nursing scholarships have been awarded to deserving area high school graduates. The scholarships are funded by proceeds from the sale of the county nursing home in 2013. Funds are directly applied toward tuition and/or room and board. This year, there were 11 eligible applicants.
