Franklin County Launches Recruitment Video Project
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Commissioners are pleased to announce the county has partnered with Cross & Crown of Chambersburg on a recruitment video campaign to showcase the wide range of career opportunities offered across the county’s various departments. The project will not only highlight the work employees are performing to serve county residents, but will also provide a new hiring tool to fill vacancies, both now and in the future.
The first video, “Why I Love Working at Franklin County,” features Andrew Carter, lieutenant of operations in the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, and Missy Negley, recently retired chief deputy treasurer, discussing what they enjoy most about their positions. Carter and Negley also highlight benefits afforded to county employees, such as a pension program, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, insurance plans, an incentivized wellness program and other perks. The video is available on the county’s YouTube page, https://bit.ly/3WlSlfM.
Future videos will feature a “day in the life” of employees in other departments, including the Franklin County Jail, Franklin County Department of Emergency Services, Franklin County Children and Youth Services, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and others.
“There are more than 50 departments within our county’s government structure, each with unique roles and opportunities for career development at all levels,” said Franklin County Chairman Dave Keller. “Our hope is that by showcasing real Franklin County employees talking about real positions, we can interest candidates to join our workforce to serve our residents. It’s also an opportunity to retain Franklin County’s home-grown talent as well as attract the best and brightest to our area for good-paying jobs and career opportunities.”
“The county offers such a variety of career opportunities and has some of the absolute best employees around. The videos are an excellent way to showcase just a few of our great jobs while using our own employees who take pride in the work they do for the citizens of Franklin County,” said Human Resources Director Tiffany Bloyer. “We are excited for this new recruitment tool and look forward to sharing it at job fairs, during interviews and anywhere that will help us attract new employees.”
