West Named Franklin County’s July Employee Of The Month

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Commissioners proudly presented the July 2023 Employee of the Month award to Kathy West during the board’s Aug. 2 public meeting. West has been employed with Franklin County since May 1992 and serves as an Administrative Assistant II in the county’s human resources department.

July’s Employee of the Month recipient was determined by the Special Thanks and Recognition (STAR) Committee, which received 10 nominations for the July award, one of which was for West. 

“The human resources department has been down a position for several months. Kathy has been amazing in stepping up and taking on additional duties to ensure that nothing slipped through the cracks,” stated the nomination form. “Kathy has also been able to keep up with her duties and has maintained a positive attitude the whole time. It is people like her that make Franklin County a great place to work! I cannot think of anyone more deserving of Employee of the Month than Kathy.”

West’s outstanding characteristics are attributes that have not gone unnoticed by her peers. She is described as reliable, adaptable, trustworthy, relaxed and a ray of sunshine. She is also commended for being compassionate, hardworking, resourceful, genuine, patient, kind-hearted, welcoming and thoughtful.

The Franklin County Commissioners congratulated West on her recognition and thanked her for her excellent work and for exuding such a high standard of customer service, excellence and respect to the employees and residents of Franklin County.
