Notice Of Public Hearing On Proposed Franklin County Community Block Grant Programs

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. –  The Franklin County Commissioners invite residents to offer feedback and comments on proposed projects and budget for Franklin County’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for fiscal year 2022. A public hearing will be held at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 5 in the Franklin County Administration Building board room at 272 N. Second St., Chambersburg. A second public hearing will be held at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 19 in the same location.

 

Applications for the CDBG grant program are available online at https://bit.ly/3w3Y5zr or by contacting the Franklin County Planning Department at 717-261-3855 or planning@franklincountypa.gov. All applications must be received by 4 p.m. Oct. 28. 

 

All interested residents, groups and organizations are encouraged to attend these public hearings and will be afforded the opportunity to present oral testimony and/or present written comments concerning proposed projects, eligible CDBG activities and how those needs may be addressed by the use of CDBG funds. Written comments may be submitted to the Franklin County Planning Department at 272 N. Second St., Chambersburg, PA 17201, or by email, planning@franklincountypa.gov. All written comments must be received by Oct. 26.

 

Those wishing to participate in the public hearings can attend either in person or virtually. To attend virtually, contact the Planning Department at 717-261-3855 or planning@franklincountypa.gov. Special accommodations will be made for those with disabilities and/or persons with limited English proficiency.
