The Archivist will assist the Director of Archives and Records Management with the implementation of a strategic plan to identify, preserve, and provide access to the records of Franklin County Government in alignment with the County’s records improvement initiatives and in compliance with policies and laws of the State of Pennsylvania.

 

Requirements include:

Bachelors or advanced degree in public administration, history, government, library science, or related field with course work in archives/archival management. Master's degree preferred. Academy of Certified Archivist (ACA) certification preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years’ archives and records management experience. Familiarity with archival content, structure, and preservation metadata standards including MARC, EAD, DACS, MODS, PREMIS, etc. preferred. Demonstrated understanding of all domains of archival practice.
