PUBLIC HEARING for New Voting Equipment

The Franklin County Election Board will be holding a public hearing next Tuesday, April 23rd, at 11:00 a.m. in the Rear Conference Room (aka Old Senior Center) in the Franklin County Administration Annex, 218 North Second Street, Chambersburg.  The purpose of this hearing is to share with the public how Franklin County is preparing to meet the Governor’s directive that all PA counties replace their voting equipment prior to the 2020 Primary Election.

During the hearing, we will share the history of voting equipment in Franklin County, the directive from Governor Wolf, the proposed new voting equipment, and the cost and proposed funding opportunities.  Our goal is to have the new voting equipment in place for the November 2019 Municipal Election.

Any questions can be directed to the County Election Board by calling (717) 261-3810.
