December 2017 CJAB Meeting Summary
The Franklin County Criminal Justice Advisory Board (CJAB) met on December 14, 2017 at 12PM in the 3rd Floor Jury Assembly Room at the Franklin County Courthouse.
President Judge and CJAB Chair, Carol Van Horn, called the meeting to order and introduced Jeff Gessaman, Washington Township Manger, as the new COG representative. Stacie Horvath introduced herself as the new Human Services Administrator and Linda Thomas Worthy introduced herself as the Executive Director of the Franklin County Housing Authority.
In lieu of a presentation, each CJAB committee reviewed respective accomplishments for the year.
The CJAB Office report was given by Glenda Helman who reported that a PCCD mini-grant was awarded to have Carl Dawson present at Human Service Training Days in April. Also through PCCD, Franklin County will be receiving 22 cases of Naloxone and Fulton County will receive 14 cases to be given out to first responders. A project modification request has been submitted for the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) grant to make the position of Good Wolf Treatment Court Coordinator full time. The Get Back Up program is moving forward with funding issues resolved. The Mental Health Co-responder program will be presenting at the PCCD CJAB Conference in April.

The next meeting of the Franklin County Criminal Justice Advisory Board will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at noon in the Jury Assembly Room at the Franklin County Courthouse.
